| From the bottom up, there is a 1” thick aluminum plate with 5/16” radius grooves cut in it for the 5/8" diameter heating elements. Next is a formed copper sheet to evenly distribute the heat across the platen. On top is a 3 /4” Teflon® insulator with 11/32” radius grooves mated to the copper. An aluminum mounting frame attaches the assembly to the pneumatic cylinder and provides mounting points for the electrical box and set screws that retain the heating elements. |
